Now that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have officially divorced, they’ve been slowly splitting up their shared assets. The latest of this is their 8,800-square-foot Pacific Palisade estate that they sold for $32 million, People reported.
The buyer was none other than Adam Levine who was more than happy to pay for the ranch-style abode. Originally, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck priced the property for $45 million. But since the ex-couple wanted to divide their assets quickly, they opted to lower the value of it to $32 million. At least, that’s the opinion of broker Kelly Parks, Realtor reported.
There are also other factors that contributed to Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s decision. Buyers would usually avoid purchasing properties that have bad memories to them, perceiving the negative events as bad luck. There’s also the reputation of the estate to consider and the possibility that it can become a bus tour destination.
This is doubly true given that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s divorce is one of the most publicly known separations in recent memory. It can be recalled that their 10 years of being married ended when the “Batman” actor’s drinking problems became an unbearable burden for the “Alias” star.
There was even one incident where Jennifer Garner had to practically drag Ben Affleck to a rehab facility after his relationship with Lindsay Shookus took a nosedive. In the weeks that follow, the “Good Will Hunting” actor slowly got back to his feet with his ex-partner guiding him through his recovery.
Now, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are still in good-terms despite what occurred. The actress previously said that she’s not going to give up on Ben even though they aren’t together anymore.
She added that she doesn’t want their kids to grow up without a father that’s why her moral support will always be a constant pillar that “The Town” actor can count on. But with their home now transferred in the name of Adam Levine, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s relationship will mostly revolve on the co-parenting of their three children.
