The divorce of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck was recently made official and, as many expected, the ex-spouses remain good friends. A source said the “Argo” actor will always want the best for the “Alias” star amid reports that she has started dating a new man.
Last week, reports had it that Garner has been going out with Cali Group CEO John Miller. Affleck’s ex has yet to respond to the rumors but several sources have confirmed Miller and Garner have been casually dating, though nothing is serious yet between the two.
Reports of Garner dating Miller came out about three weeks after her divorce from Affleck was confirmed. A source close to Affleck told PEOPLE, “Ben will always want the best for Jen. They continue to have a really strong relationship and both work very hard to make everything easy for the kids. She has always been supportive of him.”
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck first announced their separation in 2015. They filed for divorce the second time in April 2017 but a court notice (via The Blast) last August confirmed that then-estranged couple did not make substantial progress.
A judge reportedly warned the ex-couple of having their divorce filing dismissed if the delay will go on much further. While Affleck was in rehab, TMZ reported that Affleck and Garner immediately arrived at an agreement to finalize their divorce. But the papers were signed only after Affleck’s 40-day rehab program that ended earlier this month.
On Sunday, Affleck and Garner were spotted attending the World Series game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox. The exes have repeatedly mentioned maintaining a good co-parenting relationship for their three children.
Since they got separated in 2015, Ben Affleck has been in a couple of relationships. Affleck was in a serious relationship with “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus for a year. Their breakup was confirmed last August — shortly after Jennifer Garner’s ex was photographed with Playboy model Shauna Sexton.
Affleck and Sexton were spotted a couple of times together before Garner’s ex entered rehab for the third time. While there were reports that Affleck and Sexton were only casually dating, the latter visited the actor several times in his rehab facility, giving the impression that their relationship could be getting serious. However, Affleck reportedly called it quits earlier this month.
