Jordan Brand and French design center Casa 93 collaborate on an Air Jordan 1 Mid, celebrating Paris with subtle local references. Meanwhile, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black Patent” doesn't settle for bronze, offering a sleek, winning look.
Jordan Brand Partners with Paris Fashion School Casa 93 for Unique Air Jordan 1 Mid Design
Another Paris-centric Air Jordan is on the way, and unlike most recent pairs, according to Sneaker News, this one isn't directly connected to the 2024 Olympic Games. Continuing to collaborate with different organizations, Jordan Brand teams up with Paris fashion school Casa 93 on this latest Air Jordan 1 Mid, featuring subtle and explicit allusions to the collaborator’s home turf.
The project keeps co-branding minimal, with a metallic hangtag highlighting Casa 93’s influence. It reads “Seine-Saint-Denis” and “Neuf Trois” (ninety-three), nodding to the Paris district and its administrative number. Additional details include “93” text split across the left and right heels, an insole graphic displaying the exact text as the hangtag, and a rough outline of Parisian districts in the middle.
The shoe features a white leather base with overlays of grey suede and textured blue leather. The latter is adorned with green stitching matching the sock lining and top portion of the laces. The neon hue may honor the Basilica of Saint-Denis, which has a similar green color.
Neither Jordan Brand nor Casa 93 has announced a release date, but pairs could drop soon, possibly during the Paris Olympics.
Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Black Patent’ Debuts with Sleek Design and Metallic Accents for Fall '24
The total medal counts are impressive, but for any athlete, Olympian or not, nothing less than #1 will suffice. The upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black Patent” is perfect for those who live by the win-at-all-costs mantra. It is clad in black patent leather with metallic accents throughout.
The reflective synthetic material dominates the shoe, covering the topmost overlays and heel cup. Contrasting with matte white leather base underlays, chrome hits on the collar and Swoosh enhance the overall flashy atmosphere. While not officially tied to the Olympics, the metallic gold accents on the Wings logo evoke thoughts of Paris, making a striking impact in limited fashion.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black Patent” is part of Nike’s Fall ’24 offerings, retailing for $135.
