‘Jumanji’ stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart shared a hilarious video of being harnessed together in between filming scenes. Meanwhile, it was speculated that the sequel would revolve around a video game instead of the traditional ‘Jumanji’ board game.
According to Comingsoon.net, two of the principal cast members of director Jake Kasdan’s upcoming ‘Jumanji’ reboot shared an uncomfortably intimate moment together in between filming scenes as production in Hawaii continues. Johnson and Hart were seen harnessed together in a new video posted on Johnson’s Instagram account.
The video was captioned, “In a scene for #Jumanji where I have to carry @kevinhart4real on my back while running thru the jungle, we are - unfortunately - harnessed together for hours while the entire crew looks up and enjoys our pain. In the movie this scene will be crazy funny. In real life this is bullsh*t, but we commit to the comedy.”
In the Instagram video, Johnson complains about having Hart’s man parts poke him in the back the entire time while Hart yells out, "We can't unlatch in between shots?" Johnson then pans the camera to the production crew down below, who continue to watch in amusement at their predicament.
Johnson plays Dr. Smolder Bravestone while Hart plays Moose Finbar. Dr. Bravestone is a character described to be an avatar of a young child named Spencer portrayed by Alex Wolff. This brings to mind that the new film will actually revolve around a videogame instead of the original film’s iconic board game of the same name, according to Moviepilot.
Joining Johnson and Hart in the principal cast are Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon and Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse. The two also play game avatars in the film. In the exclusive first photograph from the Hawaii filming set, Johnson teased that the foursome’s 90s costumes will make sense as soon as the film’s storyline is revealed.
‘Jumanji’ is an upcoming adventure-fantasy film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Scott Rosenberg. It is produced under Sony Pictures Entertainment, Radar Pictures, Matt Tolmach Productions, and Seven Bucks Productions and is distributed in the United States by Columbia Pictures.
The film is the continuation of the original 1995 film released last December 1995, which starred the late Robin Williams in the lead role. The first film was considered one of the highest-grossing films of that year despite its lukewarm reception among critics.
