‘Justice League’ actress Amber Heard transformed into her superhero character Mera in a newly released promotional photograph. Mera is the love interest of Aquaman and Queen of Atlantis. Meanwhile, director Zack Snyder also shared a behind-the-scenes video from the last of filming in the U.K.
According to IGN, the upcoming superhero team up film directed by Zack Snyder released a fresh new photograph of Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis. The 30-year old actress was dressed head-to-toe in dark green armor complete with a sharp and pointy crown as she stood against a bleak backdrop of jagged rocks, mountains, and the ocean.
Heard is set to make an appearance on ‘Justice League’ before she receives a much bigger role in James Wan’s upcoming ‘Aquaman’ film alongside Jason Momoa. She is set to play Momoa’s on-screen love interest. It is yet to be determined whether her role in ‘Justice League’ would be a major or minor one.
Heard and Momoa are joined by Henry Cavill as Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg a.k.a. Lex Luthor, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.
Production moved to Iceland after wrapping in the U.K. According to Deadline, Snyder shared a video with behind-the-scenes footage during the final day of filming on the England set. He captioned the Twitter video, “Last day filming in the UK. It has been an amazing shoot. Big thanks to everyone involved! #JusticeLeague.”
‘Justice League’ is an upcoming action-adventure and fantasy film directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio. It is intended as the fifth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) following the release of Patty Jenkins’ ‘Wonder Woman’. It is produced by DC Comics, DC Entertainment, RatPac-Dune Entertainment LLC, Lensberg Productions and Warner Bros.
The scheduled to be released on November 17, 2017.
