KFC is shaking up its menu with the launch of Original Recipe Tenders, seasoned with the brand’s iconic blend of 11 herbs and spices. Available nationwide, these hand-breaded tenders come with new signature sauces, giving fans a fresh take on KFC's classic chicken.

KFC Launches Original Recipe Tenders Nationwide, Featuring Signature Blend of Spices and New Sauces

Many fast-food chains offer their take on fried chicken, each trying to create a signature taste that sets them apart. While fried chicken is often a reliable choice on any menu, there's no denying that KFC's chicken stands out from the rest. With its legendary secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices, KFC’s fried chicken has become an iconic dish many have tried to replicate, but none have matched. Even when a version of the secret recipe leaked in 2016 by Colonel Sanders' nephew, KFC denied its authenticity, and no one has yet come close to recreating the original taste.

According to Fast Food Club, KFC is introducing a new chicken dish from the famous secret recipe: Original Recipe Tenders. Available nationwide starting today, these hand-breaded tenders are seasoned with KFC’s signature blend of spices and fried to a golden crispy brown. For just $5, fans can get the Original Recipe Tenders Box, which includes three tenders, Secret Recipe Fries, and two signature KFC sauces.

KFC’s new sauces include:

  • Comeback Sauce: A creamy, zesty addition that pairs perfectly with the Original Recipe chicken.
  • Sticky Chicky: A sweet and spicy blend of pineapple and chili for a unique flavor experience.
  • KFC Sauce: A smoky, sweet combination explicitly created to complement KFC’s famous chicken.

KFC Expands Menu with New Original Recipe Tenders, Meal Bundles, and Fall-Themed Promotions

The release of the Original Recipe Tenders marks a new chapter in KFC’s menu innovation. While the chain has primarily offered bone-in fried chicken for years, introducing tenders gives customers a new option when they want something a little easier to eat on the go. Although tenders have appeared on the menu before, this is the first time KFC is offering them nationwide. To celebrate the launch, KFC is rolling out several promotions:

  • Family Bundle: KFC offers a new Tenders + Nuggets Meal Bundle, starting at just $24.99. This bundle allows customers to swap the traditional fried chicken bucket for tenders and nuggets, perfect for sharing at family dinners.
  • 13 Days of Spooktacular Deals: From October 19 to October 31, KFC Rewards members can enjoy 13 special offers leading up to Halloween, featuring deals on chicken tenders and other fan favorites.

In addition to chicken, KFC is updating its drink menu. The summer hit Tropical Passionfruit Lemonade is being replaced by a fall-themed Cranberry Lemonade, offering a refreshing way to pair with the new tenders. Other drinks include Cranberry Starry, MTN Dew Sweet Lightning, Cranberry Pepsi, and Cranberry Iced Tea.

For dessert lovers, KFC is bringing back its popular Pie Poppers with a twist. The new Cherry Pie Poppersfeature a flaky crust filled with warm cherry pie filling. They are available in 4 or 10-count options, starting at $2.49.

Fast-Food Chains Ramp Up Chicken Offerings for Football Season, with KFC's Original Recipe Tenders Leading

Other fast-food chains are also rolling out new chicken offerings to capitalize on football season, a time when wings and tenders are trendy:

  • Buffalo Wild Wings Pick 6 Deal: Offering two entrees, sides, and drinks for $19.99, customers can choose from six wing flavors or hand-breaded tenders.
  • Pizza Hut’s Big Boneless Wings Bundle: Perfect for game day, this bundle includes 16 boneless wings, two wing dippers, and fries for $15.99.

Football season heats up, and so does the fast-food chicken game, with KFC’s Original Recipe Tenders leading the charge.
