A Kalshi congressional contract assigned Democrats a 71% chance of winning both chambers at 8:41 a.m. ET Monday, offering a snapshot of market expectations ahead of Tuesday’s vote.
That price captured the contract’s standing at the time; it does not say how ballots will be cast or determine who will control Congress. The Nov. 3 elections will decide which party holds majorities in the House and Senate, and control can be split between them.
An earlier EconoTimes report on Kalshi’s congressional-control market described a reading near 70% before the vote.
Polymarket, a separate prediction-market platform, showed a 72% implied probability of a Democratic sweep on Oct. 30, according to its contract pricing, as covered in an earlier EconoTimes article. That figure and Monday’s Kalshi price come from separate platforms and dates, so they do not show a change in a single contract. Congressional elections are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3.
