The Scotsman Guide has compiled the nation’s top mortgage originators for the last eight years, and Kara is one of four TruStone Financial employees to be recognized. Kara ranked seventh in the nation on the Top HELOC Volume list based on her work in 2016.
Kara is a member of TruStone Financial’s TruPartner Network Team, a department within the credit union that focuses on production in the secondary mortgage market with bridge and consumer loans. In 2017, the team originated nearly 1,400 loans for $117 million in conjunction with referral partners.
When asked what makes this team so successful, Kara and her colleagues in the TruPartner Network Team credit strong referral partnerships and the team’s in-house underwriting and support team who help provide consistent and timely closings.
Since launching her career with TruStone Financial as a member service representative in 2012, Kara has held various positions within the credit union. Kara has gained valuable experience throughout her roles within the credit union, all of which have led to her success.
Kara epitomizes the credit union’s philosophy of people helping people, “Whether I’m helping borrowers purchase their dream home or helping them into a better financial situation through a refinance or debt consolidation, it all boils down to being able to help people, and that’s what I love about my job the most.”
TruStone Financial’s Aaron Gerber and Larry Lasch ranked third and fourth respectively to join Kara on the Scotsman Guide’s Top HELOC Volume list for their work in 2016.
