Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were recently hit with another wave of engagement rumors. This time, however, the actress was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. But are they really planning to walk down the aisle soon?
The short answer to that is NO. It is true that Holmes was seen wearing a diamond ring. But her representative immediately dismissed ensuing rumors and explained that the accessory was just for a movie role. “Katie’s not engaged to anyone besides her fictional movie fiancé, played by Jerry O’Connell,” a spokesperson for Foxx’s ladylove told reports.
Holmes and O’Connell will star in the movie adaptation of Rhonda Byrne’s self-help book “The Secret.” Holmes was cast for the film back in 2017 while Josh Lucas was confirmed to join the film last September. Then, a report earlier this month announced that the upcoming movie will also star O’Connell and Celia Weston.
The cast of “The Secret” is currently in New Orleans for the film’s principal photography. Interestingly, Foxx is also in the Big Easy to work on a Netflix-produced sci-fi movie alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx do not directly address reports about their relationship. However, they were seen more frequently together in public in the previous months. In fact, the actress had apparently taken the time to travel to Atlanta and be with her beau, who was filming for another upcoming movie “Just Mercy” at the time.
And with their separate movie projects coinciding in the same city, it is not surprising to see Holmes and Foxx finding time to go out in between their work schedules. Just shortly after the recent engagement rumor came out, the two were spotted exiting a restaurant located in New Orleans’ French Quarter on Wednesday, PEOPLE reported.
Rumors of Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx dating have been published since 2013. But it was only in 2017 when they were photographed walking while holding hands along a beach in Malibu.
