Japan’s Kirin Brewery will export its premium Fuji whisky brands to Singapore, relying on a weak yen, the rising popularity of Japanese whisky, and a large population of well-to-do Singaporeans.
The Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whiskey and Fuji Single Blended Japanese Whisky will be sold for around $100 per bottle in Singapore.
The whisky is already available in the US, France, Australia, and China.
Exclusively made at Kirin’s distillery in Gotenba, Shizuoka Prefecture, near Mount Fuji, the brand has a sweet and mellow flavor with multiple layers of aroma.
Kirin Brewery expects Fuji brand exports to increase 2.6 times in value on-year, with over 50 percent of their products being sold overseas.
