RAMSEY , N.J., April 28, 2016 -- Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today will host more than 50 children as part of its commitment to inspire the next generation of innovators as part of its "Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day" program. The educational program will be held at the company's corporate headquarters.
Children of Konica Minolta employees between the ages of 8 and 18 will be introduced to a variety of areas within the Corporate Offices, including walking tours, and fun and educational activities.
Designed to be more than a career day, the "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work" program exposes girls and boys to what a parent or mentor does during the work day. The impactful program, now in its 22nd year, provides youth with hands-on experience in an interactive environment, educating and empowering them with tools to reach their full potential.
Activities for the day will include welcoming remarks from Kay Du Fernandez, vice president, Marketing, as well as age-specific activities that leverage Konica Minolta's technology and business, such as:
• 3D printer and variable data product demonstrations
• Community service activity
• Product marketing workshop
"This program provides the opportunity for parents to bring their children in for an exciting day of educational activities," said Kay Du Fernandez, executive sponsor of the initiative. "Children will be exposed to technology and learn about the various aspects of the company's many business areas."
