Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co. (KSOE) bagged orders for nine ships worth a combined 540 billion won from Asia, Europe, and Africa.
The orders are for three oil tankers, three petrochemical carriers, two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers, and a container carrier.
The three oil tankers would be built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. and delivered to an Asian company from the second half of 2022.
The rest of the orders will be delivered from the first half of 2022.
A sub-holding company of Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings Co., KSOE has three shipbuilders under its wing: Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
