Yanolja has acquired the Israel-based tourism technology company called Go Global Travel. The South Korean leisure platform that provides online accommodation and travel services reportedly made the purchase from a global travel network hub.
This is said to be the largest acquisition in the history of Yanolja. It was able to buy Go Global Travel through its Yanolja Cloud subsidiary, which is a cloud-based hospitality solution provider offering B2B operation solutions.
According to The Korea Economic Daily, the deal has given Yanolja millions of travel inventory in 200 countries. The GGT provides B2B solutions used in tourism inventory that are distributed worldwide, such as hotel room reservations, airfare, and car rentals while on tour.
The deal is expected to create a number of benefits for both new and existing customers of Go Global Travel and Yanolja Cloud. This will also expand the global reach of the companies' businesses, plus the choices for travelers will broaden as well.
GGT has a wide direct contracted inventory in Europe and North America. It also has room distribution licenses for first-class and leading hotel chains. To top this all, the Israeli company has an open business line with over 10,000 tourism platforms worldwide, and this involves both online and offline travel agencies.
Thus, with Yanolja Cloud's buyout of GGT, all of these assets will also be inherited by the company. Apparently, the deal will give Yanolja the opportunity to take the lead in the tourism and hospitality industry. Likewise, it can easily emerge as a world-class travel and tour operator in no time.
"Yanolja Cloud is made up of member companies from around the world, all with a different history and expertise," Yanolja Cloud's chief executive officer, Kim Jong Yoon, said in a press release. "We welcome Go Global Travel as our latest member company which will help us further fulfill our vision of leading the digital transformation of hospitality and leisure properties everywhere. I look forward to seeing the future innovation that will be born from this acquisition."
Go Global Travel's chairman, Ophir Ben Ezra, also commented, "I look forward to continuing to provide the same high level of products and service to our client partners while being able to offer new inventory as well as innovative solutions from across Yanolja Cloud, including Booking Engines, Property and Revenue Management Software and more."
