Dunkin' Introduces Dunkalatte, a Coffee-Milk Fusion, with Kristen Wiig Leading a Playful Ad Campaign
Dunkin’ is bringing a fresh twist to its fall beverage lineup with the introduction of a new coffee-milk mashup that has even caught the attention of actress and comedian Kristen Wiig. Known for its popular lattes, Dunkin’ is taking a step further by launching the Dunkalatte, a drink that blends rich espresso with coffee milk—a nod to Rhode Island’s official state beverage. This unique combination creates a smooth, creamy texture reminiscent of a melted milkshake but with the bold taste of a traditional latte.
To promote the Dunkalatte, Dunkin’ teamed up with Kristen Wiig, who stars in a playful ad campaign showcasing the drink’s irresistible appeal. In the ad, Wiig takes on multiple humorous roles, including the Dunkalatte’s "official spokesperson," a “Drink Engineer,” and the “Chief Beverage Officer.” Each character highlights the fun and crave-worthy nature of the new drink, with a particular nod to the Coffee Milk Cow, the humorous “source” of the latte’s secret ingredient. According to Jill McVicar Nelson, Dunkin’s Chief Marketing Officer, the goal was to keep the new drink fun and approachable, and Wiig’s comedic energy perfectly aligned with that vision.
The Dunkalatte is part of Dunkin’s fall menu, featuring seasonal favorites like the Almond Spice Latte and the Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte. These offerings compete with other seasonal beverages, such as McDonald’s Pumpkin Spice Latte, which returned in August.
Dunkin' Celebrates Fall with Dunkalatte Merch, Spooky Treats, and the New Potion Macchiato
In celebration of the Dunkalatte’s launch, Dunkin’ also released a limited-edition merch collection inspired by the drink’s signature hue. Fans can visit ShopDunkin.com to purchase items such as Dunkalatte Beanies, Hoodies, Sweatpants, and even a plush Coffee Milk Cow toy.
This fall, Dunkin’ is not only focusing on new beverages but also embracing the Halloween spirit. Starting October 16, 2024, the brand will debut the Potion Macchiato, a colorful drink featuring espresso, ube swirl, and marshmallow flavors. Paired with festive treats like the Spider Donut and Halloween Sprinkle Takeover, the spooky offerings aim to delight fans of all ages.
In addition to its fall drinks, Dunkin’ is also releasing seasonal pastries, including the Pumpkin Muffin, Maple Sugar Seasoned Bacon, and Apple Cider Donut. These comforting treats capture the essence of autumn and complement Dunkin’s returning Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, which features a blend of vanilla, sweet pumpkin, and cinnamon sugar.
As Dunkin’ continues to roll out its fall-inspired menu, it joins the broader trend of cozy, seasonal drinks that evoke the warmth and flavors of autumn. The Dunkalatte is set to stand out as a highlight of the season, offering a fresh twist on a beloved classic.
