Some of those who want to express their taste in fashion in a totally unique way would often find some odd bauble or accessory to bring out the singular nature in their style. It would seem that these are the kinds of people that LG is targeting with its newest speaker accessories, which users will wear around their necks thanks to being shaped like a horseshoe. Either that or they are meant to be incredibly uncomfortable neck pillows that make noise.
LG is known for choosing some rather unconventional methods of setting itself apart from other smartphone makers, and its newest offerings are no different. Introducing the Tone Studio and the Tone Free, both of which are meant be worn around the neck but have slight differences in intended function, PC Mag reports.
For starters, Tone Studio is meant to be an all-around portable speaker that allows users to listen to music or watch movies without having to wear ear buds, headphones, or bring clunky speakers. By wearing it around their neck and connecting with their devices via Bluetooth, users will be able to enjoy high-quality audio that’s being broadcasted directly towards their ears.
According to LG, it’s basically a 3-D surround sound experience, which is due to the four speakers built into the horseshoe-shaped device. Users can even share one connection with two of these babies and they vibrate too.
Then there’s the Tone Free, which is basically an earbud setup that is worn around the neck, The Verge reports. It’s meant to be a more comfortable replacement to conventional earbuds, which can be a bit of a hassle to use, especially when wearing them while exercising.
It’s also meant to be compatible with the iPhone 7 and replace the Airpods that has been getting a lot of hate. At least with the Tone Free, users are less at risk of losing their audio device.
