KEMP, Texas, April 18, 2018 -- Larson Electronics LLC, leader in industrial lighting and equipment, released a pair of three phase transformers with explosion proof enclosures for use in hazardous locations. These indoor/outdoor transformers are 0.5kVA and 6kVA rated and provide operators with protection against critical equipment failures and increased reliability.
The ETX-600D-6KVA-500VA-110V-4X0.75 from Larson Electronics is a pair of three-phase explosion proof transformers with a 0.5 KVA rating and a 6 KVA rating. The 0.5kVA transformer is a 50/60Hz unit with a primary voltage of 600V Delta and a secondary voltage of 110V. This unit has 180 °C insulation with an 80 °C temperature rise. The second explosion proof transformer is a 60Hz 6kVA unit. This transformer also has a primary voltage of 600V Delta and a secondary voltage of 110V, with a 180 °C insulation with a 135 °C temperature rise. Both transformers are enclosed in a Class I Divisions 1 & 2 Groups B, C and D, Class I Zones 1 & 2 Groups IIB + H² and IIA, Class II Divisions 1 & 2 Groups E, F and G and Class III Divisions 1 & 2 rated enclosure. This enclosure is also ATEX/IEC Ex certified.
The ETX-600D-6KVA-500VA-110V-4X0.75 transformer pair provides reliability, efficiency, critical equipment failure protection. The housing is constructed of cast aluminum with winding formed from high quality precision cut magnetic copper wire for improved performance and features a watertight gasket and specially coated cores to prevent the ingress of moisture. This explosion proof unit is equipped with four 3/4" NPT hubs are factory tapped to allow conduit entry into the enclosure, and is floor or wall mount compatible.
“This pair of explosion proof transformers are environmentally friendly and provide operators with powerful energy, without the high costs,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “The winding material improves performance, close tolerances used during manufacturing eliminate burrs, and both units have low heat emissions which cut the costs of cooling.”
