KEMP, Texas, May 05, 2018 -- Leader in industrial lighting, Larson Electronics, has just announced a new explosion proof LED drop light that features a 120V inline GFCI circuit interrupter that provides safety and protection for users, and includes a manual reset so requipment will not power back on itself in the case of a power surge or interruption. This explosion proof trouble light is U.L approved and ideal for general work in hazardous locations.
The EHL-LED-120X12V-XGFI-15M is a 7-watt explosion proof drop light designed for handheld or hands-free operation in hazardous locations. The lamp operates on 12V DC for low voltage operations, but includes an inline transformer allowing the light to be plugged into standard outlets for 120V AC input. This LED trouble light emits 735 lumens of bright white light with a color temperature of 6,000K. This explosion proof hazardous location light features a GFCI circuit interrupter located between the cord cap and transformer. This circuit interrupter protects operators in the event of a power surge or interruption.
This Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups C and D, and Class II, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups F and G rated lamp is constructed of non-sparking aluminum with a molded rubber bumper guard and annealed glass tube shields that prevent shattering. A special swivel hook allows this drop light to be hung for hands free operation.
“This EHL-LED-120X12V-XGFI-15M is perfect for hands-free inspections and close detailed work,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “The addition of a ground fault circuit interrupter protects operators from electrical shock in hazardous locations, so they can use this LED drop light throughout the worksite.”
