CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Monday (14th November) and cover positions up to Tuesday (8th November). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions, however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and increasing
Traders increased their net long positions for third consecutive week. The net long position increased by 2,107 contracts to +217.2K contracts.
- Copper – – Net position long and increasing
Traders increased their net longs very sharply last week. The net longs increased by 28,338 contracts to +39.6K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and increasing
The net long position increased in silver for second consecutive week. The net longs increased by 3,113 contracts to +65.3K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and decreasing
The net long positions decreased sharply last week again as traders reduced the net long positions by 76,860 contracts to +277.5K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position short and increasing
Traders reduced their short bets for a second consecutive week. Net-short positions rose by 7,110 contracts to -73.5K contracts.
