The adventures of the God of Mischief are about to end as he deals with the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and encounters several time-traveling challenges and mysteries. The series recently released a mid-season trailer that gave hints that a time loop will be an essential plotline moving forward, leading to “Loki” Season 2 Episode 6.

The temporal loop was prominently featured on the initial “Loki” poster. Multiple versions of Loki gallop around in a circle on top of Miss Minutes on the poster. It's unclear if the Lokis are chasing each other or are caught in a never-ending loop. Nonetheless, it depicts the Loki from Episode 4 pursuing the Loki from Episode 1, implying that the poster revealed that Loki would prune himself. Unfortunately, there are no official plot details made available for the upcoming “Loki” Season 2 Episode 6. However, as per Rotten Tomatoes, the finale episode of the second installment will feature Loki stepping out of his brother’s shadow to embark on an adventure that occurs after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Screen Rant reported that the upcoming “Loki” Season 2 Episode 6 and Episode 5 might be a Groundhog Day scenario in which Loki has an infinite number of chances to fix the TVA but is trapped in a time loop until everything is fixed. The poster also gives some indicators that this could be the case, but the mid-season adds even more hints that this will be the story for the following two episodes.

There are many unanswered questions for the “Loki” Season 2 Episode 6. It appears that the trickster god will be trapped in an eternal time loop and will need to discover a way out while also repairing and saving the TVA and all the branching timelines. Loki may be laying the groundwork for the MCU's future as Kang variations emerge, but there is still plenty to be revealed.
