“Lost in Space” season 2 is one of the rebooted TV series that made a successful return. It is a classic show that first aired in 1965 and now with some tweaks, the updated version was born and released via Netflix.
Although it’s really an old show, it still gained lots of viewers as the story is well-written and fresh. It was modernized with the use of technology being used in filmmaking today and the end result is a newer version that is sleek and exciting to watch.
“Lost in Space” in New York Comic Con
Details about “Lost in Space” season 2 is not that many but the showrunners promised to reveal more updates when they participate in the upcoming New York Comic Con that is scheduled this week. Prior to this, some of the things that showrunner Zack Estrin already shared include how they made changes to make sure that the new generation will love the rebooted edition.
Estrin said that it was a big challenge for them to the reimagining of “Lost in Space” but they managed to pull through. He said that they are certain when season 2 arrives, both old and new fans will enjoy watching it.
“This is a true family adventure in the vein of the original Jurassic Park,” the showrunner told Entertainment Weekly. “Fans of the original show should know we maintain the core of what was special about that experience of watching that as a child — that here’s this incredible family that’s off on this amazing adventure.”
Cast, plot and release date
“Lost in Space” season 2 will feature Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Mina Sundwall and Maxwell Jenkins as members of the Robinson family. They will be supported by Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio, and Parker Posey.
As to what to expect in “Lost in Space” season 2, Jenkins was interviewed by TV Line and he revealed some spoilers including the fact the Robot will be back. He also said that Will would take up driving lessons while the family remained stuck in a new planet. Meanwhile, the drama has no airdate yet but since the cast already wrapped up filming a few months ago, it should be arriving before the year ends.
