EMEC 2017 is scheduled for March 5 – 7 at the Granada Congress and Exhibition Centre. MPI last hosted a conference in Spain in 2010 in Malaga. Next year will mark the association's second EMEC in the country and the first time in Granada, which is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
"MPI is excited to hold EMEC in Granada next year. The city's rich history, beautiful landscape and accessibility make it a great choice for our event," said Paul Van Deventer, president and CEO of MPI. "In addition to exploring innovative ideas and rich content for the conference, we are working with our host city partners to offer very attractive hotel room rates to conference attendees."
Granada has served as a lively and inviting destination for numerous conferences, conventions, and incentive trips thanks to the local environment, professionalism of the spaces and services offered, and warmth of the people. The city's conference centre is located in the center of the city with more than 4,000 hotel rooms within walking distance.
"We believe this is the perfect time for MPI Spain, the Granada Convention Bureau, and the international MPI community to meet in Granada. We are really looking forward to hosting EMEC in 2017," said Eva Garde, Marketing Director, Granada Convention Bureau.
MPI's partners for EMEC 2017 include the Granada Convention Bureau and the MPI Spain Chapter. In addition, the following local organizations will be involved in the planning: Granada Congress Centre, Granada City Hall, Province of Granada Tourist Board and Andalucia Tourist Board.
