“MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 15 will be quite an interesting story to follow as it will introduce a new character that will be replacing Jack (George Eads). CBS recently announced that Levy Tran will be joining the cast of the action-adventure series.
Her character, Desiree Nguyen – nicknamed Desi – will be a recurring member who will work with the Phoenix Foundation and will make her debut on “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 15. Her job will specifically be centered around the protection of Angus and the rest of his team. What’s more, Desi will be portrayed as someone who has teamed up with Jack in the past, Deadline reported.
Going by this nugget of information, Desi is likely a character whose skills encompass those that have undergone military training. In short, she will be the team’s new firepower. It’s still unclear how exactly is the show going to introduce Desi in “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 15 since CBS hasn’t released a synopsis for it.
While this isn’t confirmed, it’s being speculated that the network’s reason for this is Eads’ departure, CarterMatt reported. Whatever the case, Tran is now poised to replace Jack and she will have to fill a pretty big hole. Jack is one of the most beloved characters of the series’ following and replacing him will be a tough sell for the show. Hopefully, “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 15 will inject Desi in an intriguing way to immediately capture the fans’ attention.
Regarding the future of the character, CBS appears to be testing the waters with Desi to see how the fans react to her. There’s still a lot of interesting characters that the show can opt to make a series regular, with Cole (Bridget Regan) being among the top of that list. However, there’s still no news if Cole will come back, which is a shame since her background offers a lot of potential stories to explore. As for when “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 15 will be released, CBS slated it drop on Feb. 15.
