Anyone who recalls the series ‘Lost’ will remember its early seasons where the show absolutely took over the world. Its mysteries, thrills, and drama drew attention to the characters and their plight like nothing else. Then it all came crashing down when viewers realized that the showrunners had no idea where they were going with it. “Manifest” could suffer the same fate as “Manifest” Season 2 is confirmed.
In an interview with MEAWW, Jeff Rake, the show’s creator noted how “Manifest” Season 2 will see the characters facing a more present danger than in the previous season. As a result, they will then need to make a choice that many of them would rather not; work together or die. However, considering the troubling signs by the end of the first season, the seams might be tearing at the edges already.
"I couldn’t be more excited to jump into the next chapter of our story. Fans can expect a deeper dive into the emotional lives of our characters, as well as some key scientific and mythological discoveries about the plane and its passengers," Rake had said.
The show basically combines myths, religion, and supernatural elements to explain away the bizarre events of the first season. Going into “Manifest” Season 2, fans can only hope that there would be more concrete answers with regards to the events during the flight. As things stand, the story is janky to the point of being confusing.
This is where the show is dangerously close to being the next series to go completely off the rails. Considering the many similarities that the two TV properties share, this really would not be as far off as many would think. It involves plane trouble, mysterious events, and stranger banded together through strange circumstances. The only question now is whether or not the issues will get worse or get fixed in “Manifest” Season 2.
