The Royal Family has arrived, and it is not that kind of family.
The first photo for the upcoming Marvel series “The Inhumans” has arrived, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. In the photo, we are treated with an early look of the main cast of the live-action series in full regalia: Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Ken Leung as Karnak, Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal and Iwan Rheon as Maximus.
Gizmodo breaks down the costume of each cast member, which read as follows:
“Honestly, some of these costumes work way better than others. Anson Mount’s Black Bolt probably comes out the best of these, borrowing a few elements from his classic comic book look, and Isabelle Cornish’s Crystal gets some points for effort for at least trying to emulate the character’s black-tinged locks from the comics. But the most disappointing of all has to be Medusa, who honestly looks less like she’s the Queen of the Inhumans and more like she’s trying to do a particularly low-budget cosplay of “Game of Thrones” Sansa Stark.”
Meanwhile, IGN reports that “The Inhumans” will be part of the great Marvel Cinematic Universe, just like ABC’s other running series, “Agents of SHIELD.” Showrunner Scott Buck may have been mum about the show doing a crossover with “Agents of SHIELD,” he did say that events happening in the show will definitely affect “The Inhumans” as well. However, he did stress that as much as “The Inhumans” will feature superhumans, the upcoming show will feature them as real people.
