McDonald's, in collaboration with Australian rapper The Kid LAROI, unveiled its McCrispy chicken burger in Australia, heralded as a "game changer" in fast food. LAROI stars in "The Next Big Thing" TVCs and social media snippets as part of the nationwide campaign. The 100% Aussie RSPCA-approved chicken sandwich joins the iconic McDonald's main menu lineup.
The Kid LAROI launched McDonald’s McCrispy chicken burger in the chain’s restaurants in AU this week. The new premium sandwich has also been called the next big thing as it headed straight to Macca’s main menu.
McDonald’s Collab With LAROI
The singer is the latest popular personality that McDonald’s tapped for partnership for a food release. He has joined the likes of Justin Bieber as he introduces the new chicken burger for the world-renowned burger joint.
As per Billboard, through this partnership, the 20-year-old LAROI officially introduced the McCrispy chicken burger in his home country. This is the second time he has teamed up with McDonald’s; last year, he participated in Macca’s first local campaign in AU called the “Famous Order.”
This time, The Kid LAROI joins the restaurant’s nationwide campaign again by appearing in “The Next Big Thing” TVCs. He also starred in the short video ads that were posted on social media.
The New McCrispy Chicken Sandwich
The McCrispy is now on full display in McDonald’s stores across Australia as a fixed menu. It has been added to the other favorite burgers, such as the Big Mac, Fillet-O-Fish, Cheeseburger, and Quarter Pounder.
The Daily Mail reported that the new McCrispy Deluxe sandwich is made with 100% Aussie RSPCA-approved chicken breast meat that is coated and deep-fried. It is served with fresh tomato, shredded iceberg and cos lettuce, and Aussie Jack cheese. The sandwich is completed with signature sauce and a soft glazed bun.
