According to the Flexible Packaging Association, the “Expanding the Use of Flexible Packaging” category represents entries that advance the use of flexible packaging by improving upon an existing package, providing a new packaging solution, extending flexible packaging to other end-uses, or creating a new product.
For 60 years, the Flexible Packaging Association has held the Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards competition to recognize excellence and innovation in flexible packaging. Entries are judged by an independent panel of packaging experts. This long-running competition is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious in the industry.
According to Amanda Dahlby, marketing manager for Glenroy Inc., “We are honored to be recognized with a Gold Flexible Packaging Achievement Award. For Life Products is an example of an innovative brand taking advantage of the many benefits of flexible packaging, while adding convenience and value for consumers. Rejuvenate® Marine products are now lighter, more portable, and easier to store on marine vessels. Compared to rigid packaging, these pouches also use less plastic and require less energy to produce, while providing transportation and warehousing efficiencies for the brand (since unfilled rigid packaging can take up to 26 times the space of unfilled flexible packaging designed for the same product).”
