As an actress, Meghan Markle has likely dealt with scenes where she was under threat of physical harm from other characters. However, who would have thought that her life as a member of the royal family would also involve such scenes? Well, this is according to several reports and rumors about the Duchess of Sussex supposedly getting slapped by her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. It would seem that Buckingham Palace is fed-up with the rumors and has broken its rule to speak about it.
In quite the rare move on the part of the royal family, a statement was issued with regards to the reports that Kate Middleton had slapped Meghan Markle due to an alleged encounter. Due to the mounting number of reports regarding the issue, the palace had to deny that the event ever happened. This directly contradicts all of the rumors with regards to the issue.
For some context, it was recently reported that Meghan Markle had allegedly spoken rudely to staff under Kate Middleton. The exchange of words had supposedly gotten heated, which then led the emotional duchess of Cambridge to launch a slap at the former actress. As palace intrigues go, this would certainly be unusual since such direct attacks are not exactly how things are done in the royal family.
Then again, considering the fact that none of the reports have been corroborated and the supposed sources could not be named, there is no choice but to dismiss these stories as gossip. This especially the case that the palace has now issued a denial with regards to the confrontation between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.
It is worth pointing out that there have been signs of coldness between the two parties. However, it would be going too far to suggest that Meghan Markle hates her sister-in-law or vice versa.
