United States First Lady Melania Trump has a youth initiative titled Be Best. Recently, Melania updated her Instagram recalling a meeting that she says inspired her.
The First Lady shared photos of her meeting with the West Gate Elementary School Safety Patrol students back in March 2019 on her Instagram. “A great afternoon at the White House. Reconnecting with the wonderful students from West Gate Elementary School,” wrote Melania in the caption. She further added how she was inspired by the children “who are growing up to be the best versions of themselves.” West Gate Elementary School introduced a program in order to prevent classroom bullying, which is one of the objectives of Melania’s Be Best campaign.
The First Lady also took to Twitter to express her gratitude towards the welcome she received during her visit to the school. Melania even wrote that education, or educating students should not only involve academics but also instill the ability to understand the students’ own feelings as well as their classmates and peers. Melania’s visit also comes in a timely manner as she was in Florida with her son Barron Trump, who was spending his spring break at the Mar-a-Lago resort estate.
Previously it was reported that the wooden statue depicting Donald Trump as the Statue of Liberty was burned down by vandals. In the village of Sela pu Kamniku in Melania’s home country of Slovenia, the 25-foot tall statue was set fire to and local authorities are on the search for the person or people who are responsible. Melania also has a statue depicting her, in the same place. However, it appears that the residents did not have anything nice to say about the statues and even referred to it as a “waste of wood.”
Some residents even said that the statue simply does not go well with the place. Others, however, even went so far to say that Donald himself paid someone to burn the statue down. The burning of the statue follows shortly after Melania’s supposed new year’s resolution was tarnished by her husband, who ordered a missile strike on Iran, possibly igniting a war as it killed the country’s second-most-powerful military general Qassem Soleimani.
