PURR Surges as Hyperliquid Strategies Expands HYPE Treasury to $1.9 Billion

Today Hyperliquid Strategies Inc. (NASDAQ: PURR) released its fiscal-year results showing that it has more than doubled its HYPE token holdings to 29.3 million tokens. Driven by a $647 million committed equity facility, the company spent $773.4 million to buy approximately 16.5 million more tokens at an average price of $46.77 each. The company's total assets as of June 30, 2026 reached $2.06 billion—around $1.9 billion in HYPE holdings and $150 million in cash-like reserves. Working with no debt, PURR also bought back $27.8 million worth of its own shares while still having $132.6 million in cash available as of mid-August. The aggressive accumulation emphasizes the expansion of the Digital Asset Treasury (DAT) model and positions PURR as a regulated proxy vehicle for institutional exposure to the Hyperliquid layer-1 and derivatives environment. Key filings revealing holdings by well-known macro funds like Stanley Druckenmiller's Duquesne Family Office as well as asset managers like Black Rock and State Street have helped to keep institutional adoption growing. Along with expected near-term supply changes from planned token releases in late August and early September, investors are monitoring future structural tailwinds, including the possible adoption of protocol income-sharing buyback mechanisms that could provide HYPE an estimated ~$182 million yearly.

Wall Street reacted favorably to the fiscal update and treasury indicators, driving PURR shares up by as much as 15–18% in early trading and premarket. Growing investor confidence in the company's debt-free balance sheet, aggressive share repurchases, and long-term treasury strategy based on HYPE token accumulation helps to explain the market recovery.
