While everyone is getting ready for the coming of the new year, people have been curious on what United States President Donald Trump gave his First Lady Melania Trump for Christmas. A report reveals what the First Lady may have received from her husband over the holidays, among other things.
Express reports that Donald Trump revealed how he was still thinking of what to get Melania for the holiday. The President revealed this at a conference held at his Mar-a-Lago club with the US Military staff to wish them a happy holiday ahead during Christmas Eve. When asked about what he got Melania, he joked that he may have gotten her a very nice card. “You know I’m working on a lot of things, I got her a beautiful card,” said Donald. But he later said “I’m still working on the Christmas present, is that okay?”
What Donald ended up giving to Melania on Christmas day however, has yet to be revealed. Neither did the White House respond to similar questions as to what the First Couple got each other for Christmas. It might come as no surprise given how the First Lady is a very private person and would hardly divulge details such as that one to the public nor the press.
Nevertheless, she has been recently praised for her unwavering take on her role as First Lady. CNN Reporter Kate Bennett, who is also the author of “Free Melania: An unauthorized biography,” revealed that Melania’s unwavering approach may have both lowered and raised the bar for First Ladies everywhere.
Meanwhile, another report reveals that the First Lady made a visit to the Nicklaus children’s hospital in Miami, Florida with Donald. Melania opened a healing garden as part of her anti-bullying campaign called Be Best. The White House shared photos and videos of her visit, however, it was met by a huge wave of criticism from the online public.
Some said that her campaign is unsuccessful, as well as it being a “joke.” Others even pointed out how the hospital is near the Mar-a-Lago estate as well as how it was only done for the sake of photos to post online. There are also others who pointed out the irony of this compared to Donald’s inhumane detaining of children at the border after being separated from their families.
