Blumenthal joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation group, where he will focus on environmental compliance, permitting, and litigation. Waxman joins the firm’s Real Estate practice, focusing on real estate transactions.

Blumenthal has more than 25 years of experience in environmental law, including in the acquisition and redevelopment of environmentally impaired Brownfield sites and remediation of hazardous substance and hazardous waste properties. A former Ohio Assistant Attorney General in its Environmental Enforcement Section, he has prosecuted and defended claims under local, state, and federal environmental regulations and advises on a range of compliance and permitting issues.

He received his B.S. from Ohio State University and his J.D. from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
Waxman’s practice focuses on advising individuals, closely-held businesses, educational and public institutions, and Fortune 100 companies on matters pertaining to real estate acquisition, development, financing and leasing, environmental compliance and insurance, and construction.

Waxman and Blumenthal previously served as co-founders of Waxman Blumenthal, a boutique real estate and environmental practice in Cleveland.
