Middlesex Water was named the winner in the Private Category for its assessment and repair of a 30-inch transmission main under a major state highway using internal application of a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, the first time this infrastructure rehabilitation technique has been used by a water utility in New Jersey. Other entities receiving 2017 One Water Awards were The City of Hoboken’s Southwest Park and the Landis Sewerage Authority in the Public Category and the Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association in the Nonprofit/Academic category.
