Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s breakup is generally viewed as a relationship gone south despite what both singers claim. Although the “I Lived It” singer previously said that they parted on good terms, there are still lingering doubts among the public regarding what truly transpired that ultimately led to the pair’s divorce.
Now, that narrative has been stoked once more as Blake Shelton was a no-show during the recently held CMT Artists of the Year 2018 ceremony, where Miranda Lambert was one of the honorees. Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, and Hillary Scott were also among those who were recognized at the ceremony.
All these talented stars were awarded for their contributions to country music, a category where Blake Shelton falls into. As such, it was surprising that the “Turnin’ Me On” crooner wasn’t spotted during the gathering. And since Miranda Lambert was in attendance, a lot of people assumed that he was avoiding his ex-wife.
However, Hollywood Life claims that the reason Blake Shelton wasn’t present during the ceremony was that he didn’t want to take the spotlight from the women who were receiving the award. Of course, this claim shouldn’t be taken as fact given the track record of the tabloid and its penchant for publishing unfounded tale. What’s more, Blake Shelton himself didn’t comment on his absence and remains reticent about the matter as of this writing. Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert was quite the performer during the gathering as she lit the stage on fire alongside her Pistol Annies bandmates.
The “Tin Man” singer is currently going through a heartbreak as she recently broke up with Evan Felker, after a romance that lasted for six months. Miranda Lambert has yet to provide reasons for the split and it isn’t clear if things between the two can be mended at the moment. In the meantime, Blake Shelton’s three-year relationship with Gwen Stefani is stronger than ever.
The duo has been happily dating each other after their romance blossomed on the set of “The Voice.” Since they officially became a couple, wedding rumors involving Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been published left and right. Of course, the stories remain unfounded and the pair is still contented with where things stand for them. As for Miranda Lambert, the songstress is currently busy with work as she’s co-headlining the “Bandwagon” tour with Little Big Town.
