‘Modern Family’ season 8’s episode 17, titled “Pig Moon Rising,” is set to follow Mitchell as he accidentally spills an urn holding the ashes of Cameron’s beloved pet. He will try to make up an excuse for the incident but Cameron will get suspicious.
The brief synopsis for “Pig Moon Rising” posted on TV Guide reads, “Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) knocks over an urn filled with the ashes of Cameron's (Eric Stonestreet) beloved pet pig Lilly while exercising in the garage, but Cameron suspects his cover-up is a load of hogwash.”
The upcoming episode will feature conflict between Mitch and Cameron following Mitch’s offensive mistake in the family garage. It seems that Mitch will be in big trouble after he accidentally spills the contents of an urn, which turns out to be the ashes of Cameron’s beloved pet pig. He will attempt to make up an excuse but it seems that Cameron is too smart to fall for his alibis.
Meanwhile, the eighth season of ABC’s popular mockumentary-form sitcom recently wrapped production. Star Sofia Vergara, who plays the sultry yet comedic Gloria Pritchett, took to social media to share some behind-the-scenes photographs of herself as well as her fellow cast mates during the last day of filming. In one image, she shared the camera with her on-screen son Jeremy Maguire (Joe Pritchett), who made a peace sign during their selfie.
According to People.com, Vergara’s co-star Sarah Hyland also expressed her love for the show on a post on Instagram. She posted a photograph of the cast of ‘Modern Family’ with the caption, “After 8 years of being on a tv show such as #modernfamily I have to say, with the most love in my heart, how proud I am to be a part of something so iconic. 8 years! Thank you guys for watching and sticking with us through all of our fake family ups and downs! This has been the most amazing experience of my life! Hope to see you all for another season!”
‘Modern Family’ season 8’s episode 17, titled “Pig Moon Rising,” is scheduled to air on ABC on March 15, 2017. It was directed by Chris Koch and written by Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh. It will be followed by episode 18, titled "Five Minutes," scheduled to be released on March 29.
