Musinsa, a leading online fashion retailer based in South Korea, rolled out a preview event to gather votes from customers for their favorite items in its product lineup. The company said that based on the results of the voting, it will pick which apparel to release in the coming fall and winter seasons.
Launch of the Voting Event
Musinsa is an outlet for modern basic casual wear and has been selling more than 1,000 K-brands on its online marketplace. It has become the favorite “go-to” of the millennials and Gen Z when it comes to fashion.
The Korea Times reported that Musinsa commenced its preview event, which will run for seven days in central Seoul. Customers will find 34 brands on the company’s marketplace and about 280 items consisting of bags and clothes.
How the Voting Works
Most of the pieces were said to have been created by local designers. They are on display at the event, and each one has a QR code on their tag for easy voting.
Throughout the voting period, Musinsa will invite visitors to check the items on display and encourage them to vote for their favorites. The QR codes will lead visitors to the brand’s mobile app, and they can vote there. Everyone can pick as many items as they like, and once the voting ends, Musinsa will mass-produce the pieces with the most votes, and these will be released in the 2024 Fall/Winter season.
Musinsa Rolls Out Noah
Musinsa developed a global fashion brand called “Noah,” and the company announced on Friday, Feb. 16, that it will open its official standalone online store in South Korea.
Korea’s Dailian reported that Noah was first launched as a fashion brand in New York and entered the Korean market by opening its first offline flagship store in Apgujeong, Seoul, last year. Now Musinsa Trading is setting up the brand’s online marketplace to reach more customers in the region.
