The trailer for the second half of “My Hero Academia” season 3 has been released. Midoriya and the rest of the U.A. High School students will be meeting new characters from their rival schools as they all try to pass the Provisional Hero exam.

Previous episodes of “My Hero Academia” season 3 have been leading up to the biggest challenge for Midoriya and other superhero aspirants, which is finally acquiring the badge to fighting villains. But, just like licenses in the real world, the certificate to become a hero can only be rewarded once Midoriya and the other students pass all the requirements.

For the ultimate test, students from different superhero academies are rounded up for the Provisional Hero License test. The upcoming episodes will show the U.A. students mixed in with superhero aspirants attending other schools, and viewers can expect to see more characters making their debut in the anime series.

The latest trailer for “My Hero Academia” season 3 (with English subtitles) previewed at least three new characters to debut in the anime series. These include Inasa Yoarashi, Camie Utsushimi, and Seiji Shishikura, who are all attending U.A.’s rival, Shiketsu High School. Fans who have followed the franchise in its manga series are likely familiar with these characters already.

To those who are not, here are some details about these characters. Inasa’s Quirk works with the wind and, in the manga, he is famous for defeating over 100 other students in one exam. Camie’s Quirk, called Glamour, allows her to make visual and auditory illusions to confuse her enemies. Lastly, Seiji takes so much pride in being able to attend Shiketsu while his Quirk enables him to control raw meat, including his own flesh.

While all students like Midoriya are working to become superheroes, not everyone will be awarded with the Provisional Hero License. The government in the fictional world of “My Hero Academia” chooses only the best individuals to have the said certification. So it is up to the students to perform well enough and prove everyone else that they are ready to fight the bad guys and save the world.

As also seen in the latest for the second half of “My Hero Academia” season 3, Midoriya and the rest of the aspiring superheroes will be challenged to perform at least two special attacks. Adding more weight to the test, the students are required to craft their own unique hero moves. Of course, these special attacks will be performed in front of their trainers and other students from U.A. High School and other rival schools.

The trailer also shows Midoriya briefly speaking about his One-for-All Quirk, hinting that he is going to perform it for the test. “My Hero Academia” season 3's hiatus ends this week as episode 14 is expected to be released on Saturday, July 14. Fans can watch the anime series through various paid streaming channels like Funimation.
