The action heats up in “My Hero Academia” chapter 261. The large-scale war between the heroes and the Paranormal Liberation Front forces will finally start in the manga’s next installment while Maruta will be doing his best to escape from the rampaging Mirko, who already breached his laboratory.
“My Hero Academia” chapter 260 recap
Endeavor finally apprehended Maruta Shiga. However, they were confused when Murata ages very rapidly when Erasure was applied. The hospital staff, unaware of the doctor’s crimes, tried to defend him but they were quickly evacuated from the hospital in case a fight between the heroes and Nomus might happen.
It was later revealed that the person who was captured by Endeavor was just Murata’s double. The real one is still within his laboratory watching over his masterpiece, Tomura Shigaraki. Within the laboratory is Maruta’s life work, a priceless collection of quirks he worked all his life to amass.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t fast enough in implementing his evacuation protocol. Mirko was able to locate him before he was teleported and the entrance to his laboratory was blasted by the Pro-hero to Maruta's surprise.
“My Hero Academia” chapter 261 speculations
With Mirko having managed to locate the real Maruta, the scientist might attempt to make an escape in “My Hero Academia” chapter 261. However, Johnny seems to be injured when Mirko destroyed the door to the laboratory which means the scientist might not be able to use the Nomu's warping ability to make his escape.
It was previously revealed that Tomura Shigaraki is on his final stages of powering up. While the process might not yet be complete, it is possible that Tomura might have regained enough of his strength to deal with Mirko. Thus, a battle between the two might be possible in “My Hero Academia” chapter 261.
If this clash will indeed happen, Tomura will likely escape from Mirko or he might even prevail over the pro-hero. After all, the villain will likely play a very important role in the Liberation Front’s plans and it would make no sense to have him captured this early in the arc.
Meanwhile, a clash between the Paranormal Liberation Front and the Heroes is hinted at by a leaked “My Hero Academia” chapter 261 teaser summary from Weekly Shonen Jump. “A clash with the Paranormal Liberation Front! Who will win in this battle!?" the supposed summary reads, according to a post on Reddit.
“My Hero Academia” chapter 261 will arrive on Feb. 17, 2020. Stay tuned for more updates.
