The effort to make “NBA 2K20” a better game continues for its developers. On the professional basketball sim’s 14th week in existence, 2K Games released the ninth gameplay patch addressing a few issues affecting the Neighborhood and MyTEAM gameplays.
'NBA 2K20' update: What issues are fixed in Patch 9?
Prior to the latest update, “NBA 2K20” players may have encountered issues when entering the Neighborhood wherein certain animations are not being displayed correctly. Hot Zones were also showing glitches in The Rec, and the Neighborhood plays. These are some of the bugs addressed in Patch 9.
Some gamers also experienced an issue in the MyTEAM that prohibited them from making a one-move quick sub from their bench rosters. This should no longer cause an inconvenience once “NBA 2K20” is updated with Patch 9.
Another MyTEAM issue addressed by the latest update has something to do with playing a Duo match. In-game players used in this game mode were reportedly having issues in their badges where the upgrades were not properly shown in their player cards. This issue has been fixed in “NBA 2K20” Patch 9, and the correct information should be displayed when viewed from the Lineups menu.
“NBA 2K20” developers also fixed an issue that caused errors in the number of boosts consumed after every MyPLAYER Nation match. An animation-related bug was also addressed in the update. Ninja-style headbands should now sport the latest design, as seen in NBA season 2019-20.
‘NBA 2K20’ giveaways announced for Reddit users
The season of giving has officially arrived, and Reddit users may qualify for a raffle contest and win “NBA 2K20” prizes. One of the requirements is an existing Reddit account that was created before the contest went live on the r/NBA2K subreddit last Saturday, Dec. 12.
Fans can join until Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 11:59 EST. Participants should answer a series of questions, and every response entered equates to one raffle entry. However, note that Reddit users who have been banned from r/NBA2K and other related subreddits for a total of seven days are not eligible to join.
The giveaway prizes include four copies of “NBA 2K20,” two 6-month Premium membership to NBA 2K Lab, two licensed NBA 2K League hoodies, two licensed NBA 2K League caps, and a Reddit Platinum award. Note that any prize that is a physical item can only be awarded to a contestant based in the United States.
