DeMarcus Cousins is in trouble after an alleged audio recording of him threatening his ex and baby mama Christy West surfaced online. He is currently being investigated for the allegations this was confirmed by the NBA.

The unfortunate incident was revealed just a day after Cousins tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Morga Lang. The wedding ceremony took place the past weekend at St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta and as expected his basketball colleagues were present to witness the occasion.

Cousins is now playing for Los Angeles Lakers but he had to sit out most of the games in the upcoming NBA season after suffering from an ACL tear during practice. While he has this injury, it did not stop him from dancing and celebrating on his wedding day.

The wedding was said to be perfect that both Cousins and his bride were too happy to have had this kind of “amazing wedding from top to bottom.” Wedding planner Lynn Ehumadu of Lily V Events told People that the NBA player’s sense of style was what made the event glamorous and a “dream come true.”

The threatening call

The day after the wedding, news broke out that DeMarcus Cousins is under investigation after TMZ released an audio of a phone call that he had with his ex-girlfriend, Christy West. In the recording, the basketball star was heard asking West to allow their son to attend his wedding but when the woman refused, he warned her that he would take it to another level.

West firmly told him that their son is not coming to the wedding and apparently, this irked Cousins. He then told her “I’m going to make sure I put a bullet in your f***ing head” and these words landed him on the headlines with police placing him under investigation for the grave threat. Now, West is seeking a restraining order against the NBA star to keep him away from her and their son.

Most people find the incident odd and rather than comforting or sympathizing with West, they bashed her for what happened. Many are convinced that DeMarcus Cousins has been set up by West in order to gain custody of their child.
