The cast and crew of “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 are still on set filming for the series’ next installment. Meanwhile, Daniela Ruah let fans see that she and her co-stars are having much fun while making the series through her Instagram photos.
Since the filming of “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 started, Ruah — who plays Agent Kensi Blye — has always let fans keep up with what’s happening when the cameras are not rolling. On Sunday, the actress posted another photo that also stirred some questions among fans.
Many were concerned that the said photo is another hint of Agent Marty Deeks’ (Eric Christian Olsen) rumored departure in “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10. Ruah captioned the photo #squad but, aside from her, it only features LL Cool J — who plays Agent Sam Hanna — and another guy not familiar to many fans.
However, the third person in the photo is actually director Benny Boom, which explains why some fans did not recognize him immediately. However, he is not a newcomer to the show. He directed a couple of episodes in season 8 and another one in season 9. Seeing him in Ruah’s latest Instagram post just means that Boom will be directing another episode (or episodes) of “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10.
For the past week, Ruah has shared several other behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 set. One funny post features her and LL Cool J once more captioned, “When a labradoodle meets a pit bull at the park.” The short video shows LL Cool J in a more serious state while Ruah’s energy is obviously on a much higher level.
On the other hand, fans may notice that among all the photos Daniela Ruah has shared, Eric Christian Olsen is nowhere to be seen. This is somehow strange considering that they are onscreen partners. Ultimately, it keeps the mystery up about Deeks' status in “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10.
Since season 9 ended, there has been a lingering question of whether or not Deeks is returning in “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10. And if he does, fans are not certain if his character is going to stay. Interestingly, Olsen’s own social media pages do not contain any clear indication that he has joined the set of “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 since it opened in July.
A report from Cartermatt suggests a possibility that the producers have instructed “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 stars not to spoil anything that involves Deeks. So while Olsen could be on set, any behind-the-scenes photos or videos with him are off-limits to the public.
Whether or not Deeks is coming back, fans will still have to wait for over a month to get the answers. “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 is going to premiere on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
