“NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5 Episode 11 will return next week with the story picking from where the midseason finale ended. Right now, Dwayne (Scott Bakula) is emotionally suffering after Cassius (Stacy Keach) was gunned down by Amelia (Ellen Hollman).
In turn, Dwayne killed Amelia and tried to console his dying father. Due to the severity of his wounds, however, Cassius ultimately pass away. With Amelia dead, the SAC has now turned his sights on the organization that started this mess, Apollion. It’s expected that whoever runs this highly secretive group will be unveiled in “NCIS New Orleans” Season 5 Episode 11.
There’s also the question of how big this organization actually is and how deep their roots go. Fans are speculating that whoever is behind Apollion holds great power, particularly on the military or political level. “NCIS New Orleans” Season 5 Episode 11 will have Dwayne and his team clash with this group, a collision that would surely end up with a lot of bodies on the ground.
Although the actions scenes will be a thrilling ride, what’s quite interesting is how the writers are going to handle Dwayne’s subsequent healing. He has yet to recover from Amelia’s failed assassination and now the poor agent will have to deal with the grief of losing his old man. Dwayne has always been portrayed as someone who is laid back but after all the events that occurred this installment, it’s safe to assume he’s going to be evolving as a character. Hopefully, “NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5 Episode 11 can provide some glimpse where the personal story of Dwayne is heading.
This is intriguing since Bakula’s character is loosely based on a real-life agent who died on March 5, 2018. The operative in question is Special Agent D’Wayne Swear, a technical advisor on the show and is considered a legend among the ranks of police officers. As for when “NCIS New Orleans” Season 5 Episode 11 will air, it’s been slated for release on Jan. 8, 2019.
