Teasers for “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 14 indicates that next week’s plot will allow viewers to learn more about the backstory of Special Agent Hannah Khoury (Necar Zadegan). At the same time, Pride’s (Scott Bakula) team handles a case linked to conspiracy journalist Oliver Crane (Mark Gessner).
Hannah gets a surprise visit from a former colleague named Liam Somers, played by Rob Benedict, in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 14. His arrival, however, is not a social call as he brings an update to an old case they worked together. And judging from the build-up for this plot, it will most likely shake Hannah and might affect her future.

The official synopsis of “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 14 describes Liam’s news as “a shocking revelation.” This could mean that Hannah will have to revisit details from her past that will also let the viewers know more about her character. CarterMatt suggests that next week’s episode might also explain why Hannah refuses to be reunited with her family ever since arriving in California.
Hannah was introduced during the most challenging time in the NCIS New Orleans office. Pride was almost removed from work and had been shot that could have potentially killed him. Hannah then comes in to practically take Pride’s place in the team. They have since been working well together but the show has only scratched the surface of her backstory. And “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 14 will hopefully change that.
Meanwhile, the case of the day is linked to conspiracy theorist and journalist Oliver Crane. One of his tipsters for his “latest vigilante story” will be murdered. Since the NCIS agents are called to step in to investigate, it is likely that Oliver’s exposé have stepped on the interest of some powerful people. “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 14 will air on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
