“NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5 is currently being filmed all throughout the southern U.S. city, and fans of the show are getting excited to find out what is next for their favorite cast of characters. However, there is even better news for those who are fans of this crime drama and "Star Trek." It would seem that LeVar Burton will be directing another episode for “NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5.
The revelation that LeVar Burton will be directing one episode for the CBS show started when the actor tweeted that he will be in New Orleans for a few weeks. When a fan asked him why he would be coming down to the southern city, he replied with “I believe I start prepping episode #504, 8/8/18.” This basically means that he will start filming an episode for “NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5 on Aug. 8.
This was a pleasant surprise for many fans who loved his past work and wanted more from him. Now, it’s worth pointing out that although the tweet indicates he will be directing “NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5 Episode 4, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be in this order. As CarterMatt notes, the filming of episodes doesn’t automatically mean that they will follow the same pattern once they air.
On the other hand, if this does end up being the order in which the “NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5 episode airs, it would be the 99th episode in the series. It may not be as momentous as the 100th episode, but who is keeping track, anyway?
“NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5 will be premiering on Sept. 25. Fans can check out the schedule of when TV shows will be making their return on Entertainment Weekly. Along with “NCIS: New Orleans” Season 5, plenty of other programs will be coming back.
