Things are bound to get more complicated in the upcoming “NCIS” season 17 episode 15. Aside from the usual case of the week that needs to be solved, a few members of the team will have to deal with tricky matters of the heart as well.
This romance-filled plot should not be too surprising for fans as it is already evident in the episode’s title “Lonely Hearts.” As some might have already guessed by now, the episodes will be a Valentine’s Day special.
“The lead suspect in an NCIS murder investigation is a woman Leroy Gibbs’ (played by Mark Harmon) friend Phillip Brooks (Don Lake) met on a dating site. Also, Jacqueline Sloane (Maria Bello) has a secret admirer on Valentine’s Day,” the synopsis reads, according to Express.
While no further clue as to who Sloane’s mystery admirer might be, some fans offer a very familiar name as Jack’s potential Valentine Day date. Fans said on social media that it’s probably time for Sloane and Gibbs to finally start dating.
Sloane and Gibbs have shown the kind caring relationship they have in recent “NCIS” season 17 episodes that fans can’t help but wonder if it could develop into something beyond friendship. In fact, they’re hoping Gibbs and Sloane will become the focus of a romantic storyline next episode.
A lot of fans actually want the two characters to start dating. “Can Gibbs and Sloane please date already?” Twitter user @yeyeli11 wrote. “When will they finally be together?” another user named @petrajm94 agreed.
Some say that getting into a relationship will be good for Gibbs. “Sloane forces Gibbs to examine his feelings and confront those he’s kept buried for so long,” Twitter user @jensci said. “He needs someone to help him come to terms with that trauma.”
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a bit longer for the “NCIS” season 17 episode 15 release date to arrive. The show won’t be airing this coming Tuesday, February 4.
The reason for the break is that the network might be airing the State of the Union Address this week. This means that episode 15 will be airing next Tuesday, February 11.
