NCSoft's brisk sales of mobile games pushed its quarterly revenue by 104 percent 731.1 billion won.
The sales, which surged 54 percent to 553.2 billion won in the first quarter from the previous one, accounted for 75.6 percent of the South Korean gaming company.
The company's operating profit also skyrocketed 204 percent to reach 241.4 billion won, while its net profit increased 162 percent to 195.4 billion won.
Of its total revenues, 634.6 billion won, which accounts for 86.8 percent, was raised in Korea, generating 86.8 percent of revenue at home.
NCSoft's other revenues came from North America for 19 billion won, Japan for 12.9 billion won, and Taiwan for 11.8 billion won.
The vigorous sales of mobile games were due to people being kept indoors to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
NCSoft's bestsellers were Lineage 2M and Lineage M, which raked in 341.1 billion won and brought in 212 billion, respectively. PC versions of the two games brought in 26.4 billion won and 44.8 billion won, respectively.
Encouraged by the strong sales of the two games, NCSoft CFO Yoon Jae-soo said that the company would focus on international expansion. They would also introduce Soul 2 and Blade in Korea while bringing Lineage 2M overseas.
NCSoft would also be testing Project TL, an upcoming multiplayer online role-playing game.
