The National Football League (NFL) teams have already spent weeks in training camp as the start of a new season nears. However, fans can expect some of them to close a few more deals such as signing players from the free agency or for some last-minute trade agreements.

NFL rumors: Jadeveon Clowney meets with Miami bosses

The 26-year-old linebacker is one of the players surprisingly left unsigned in the NFL free agency. But that does not mean no other teams are taking an interest in dealing with him. Recent rumors suggest that the Miami Dolphins could be the frontrunners in signing Jadeveon Clowney.

He entered the NFL as the no. 1 overall pick in 2014 and has played for the Houston Texans until he entered the free agency after season 2018. Later, it has been reported that Clowney parted ways with his management Bus Cook Sports that might have contributed to why he is still unsigned with about a month left before season 2019 begins.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday that Clowney has personally met with Dolphins head coach Brian Flores and other team executives. However, Clowney needs to sign his franchise tag first before a trade deal may push through between the Texans and the Dolphins.

NFL rumors: Josh Docston to wear a new uniform this season?

Meanwhile, the Washington Redskins could also be looking at, at least, one more trade deal before they officially open their season 2019 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 8. Reports have it that wide receiver Josh Docston is on the chopping block.

The rumor started in an in-depth report by The Athletic’s Ben Standig. He wrote that the Redskins no longer sees a future with Docston. The team reportedly eyes to trading him even though they could be getting a fifth- or sixth-round pick spot at best.

The same report claimed that the Redskins plan to deal Docston before Week 1 of season 2019. If so, the team should be shopping for potential trade deals and find the right offer with a little over a week from now. Docston has played for the Redskins since 2016 and wrapped up his season 2018 with an average of 12.1 pass yards in 44 receptions.
