WWE or World Wrestling Entertainment is launching its own NFT marketplace before WrestleMania 38 begins in April. The site will be the global entertainment company's official non-fungible token platform for its own digital assets.
As per the announcement, the site has been named "WWE Moonsault," and this was revealed by Stephanie McMahon, WWE's chief brand officer, on Sunday, March 13, during the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference. The event was held in Austin, Texas, at the Blockchain Creative Labs' House, which the WWE executive apparently attended.
In any case, the platform has yet to debut, but interested parties are already allowed to sign up to be included in the email list to receive more details about the NFT marketplace and be notified when it is up.
Based on the details shared last weekend, WWE will be opening its NFT marketplace by the end of this month since WrestleMania 38 is scheduled to take place on April 2 and April 3. For early registrations, people can head to WWE's Moonsault website to sign up.

Meanwhile, it was in October last year when WWE announced it has joined forces with Blockchain Creative Labs to set up its own marketplace where the company can release its licensed NFTs and collectibles. It was a multi-year contract and already sold a collection on The Undertaker and John Cena NFTs last year.
"Blockchain Creative Labs is excited to partner with WWE in launching its official NFT ecosystem. We know WWE's passionate fan community will love owning authentic digital goods across the organization's creative universe -- from past and present stars to classic, culture-defining moments," Blockchain Creative Labs CEO and co-founder/chief executive officer of Bento Box Entertainment, Scott Greenberg, said in a press release at that time.
He added, "Our NFT studio is all about enabling fans to own NFTs and tokens that carry utility and social clout directly from the creators and brands they are passionate about, spanning animation, sports, shows, and movies to music, books, art, pop culture and every other Web3-powered media asset you can possibly imagine."
Meanwhile, WWE's Moonsault NFT platform will also be the official home of the WWE Universe Discord community.
