Nike has whipped up a green sneaker featuring suede panels, metallic gold Swooshes, and shamrock details dubbed St. Patrick’s Day Dunk Lows to commemorate this year’s Irish holiday much earlier than expected to offset material shortages and shipping delays.
St. Patrick’s Day is in March.
The brand never passes up the opportunity to create a holiday-inspired Dunk, be it Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, or even 4/20.
So, Nike made it a point to work well ahead of its usual schedule, already having prepared its Valentine’s Day Dunks.
Nike’s St. Patrick’s Day Dunk based on past designs is predictably overwhelmingly green.
Leaked photos from @wavegod_thelegend revealed an entirely green suede sneaker with matching green laces, tongues, and sock liners.
This year’s version directly references the one from 2013, albeit in low-top form.
While it replaced the original’s smooth leather panels for suede ones, the updated sneaker comes in similar emerald green with shiny gold hits on its Swoosh, heels, and tongues to represent a pot of gold.
Release details for the St. Patrick’s Day Dunk Lows have yet to be determined, although it's presumably around the March holiday.
The suede shoes are expected to be in high demand.
