Nyan Heroes, a groundbreaking Solana-based game, celebrates surpassing 100,000 downloads on the Epic Games Store with exclusive NFT rewards for its top players. The announcement comes as the pre-alpha demo nears its end, spotlighting the game's burgeoning popularity and innovative approach to player incentives.
Final Week Dash: Nyan Heroes Rewards Top Players with Exclusive NFTs and Points
According to Decrypt, with less than a week, until the pre-alpha demo ends on April 9, Nyan Heroes announced on Friday that the top demo players will receive leaderboard rewards, including Nyan Heroes Genesis Guardian NFTs and extra MEOW points towards the game's NYAN token airdrop.
"The Nyan Heroes pre-alpha demo has been in full swing for 10 days, and we have been absolutely purring with all of the reception it has received," developer 9 Lives Interactive said in a Medium post.
According to Nyan Heroes, the top three players will be bestowed with the prestigious Legendary Genesis Nyan NFT, an Ultrarare Genesis NFT, and a Rare Genesis Nyan NFT. Players who secure the fourth to tenth positions will be honored with a Genesis Nyan NFT, while those in the eleventh to twentieth spots will each receive a Genesis Guardian NFT, a symbol of their achievement.
"The leaderboard ranking is determined by total wins during the pre-alpha demo. The more wins you achieve, the higher your position on the leaderboard will be," 9 Lives Interactive said.
Competitive Edge: Nyan Heroes Enhances Reward System, Boosting MEOW Points for Top Players
According to the Medium post, the top 100 players will appear on the leaderboard. According to 9 Lives Interactive, players not currently in the top 100 can find their rank by entering their username at the bottom of the list.
"Climb with every win! While the top 100 heroes bask in the limelight, each player's rank and username are honored," 9 Lives Interactive added on Twitter. "Tied wins? You'll score the higher tier's rewards! Plus, your MEOW points increase with every leaderboard triumph."
For example, if Ranks 500 and 501 have the same wins, rank 501 will receive the same reward as Rank 500. Nyan Heroes stated that all MEOW rewards earned through the leaderboard boost will be added to a player's point total before applying any multiplier. Finally, the top 7,500 players will all receive a MEOW points bonus.
In January, Nyan Heroes announced that players who own a Nyan Heroes or Guardians NFT will receive additional rewards. During its play-to-airdrop campaign last weekend, 9 Lives Interactive offered double the MEOW points as a unique, limited-time promotion. The NYAN token will be released on Solana shortly after the play-to-airdrop campaign concludes.
