Are you excited for the 100th epiode of the hit TV series 'Once Upon A Time'? I know I am because a few hours from now and the show will be back in the airwaves again. So here is a list of what to expect for the comeback of the series. Spoilers ahead!
The episode, titled “Souls of the Departed,” will be the 12th of the fifth season and the 100th episode of the series. So as all of you know already, Emma and the rest of the team will be embarking on a journey to the Underworld to rescue Hook.
And the one thing that everyone should know about the Underworld, according to series co-creator Adam Horowitz, is it's not hell. “The underworld isn’t hell — it is a place between. It’s the place for people with unfinished business, so it’s not about good or evil.” That is not to say the Underworld is safe, as co-creator Eddy Kitsis has pointed out that “there are things that apparently are worse than death.”
The synopsis says the midseason premiere will find the gang discovering their search for Hook will “be more difficult than they had anticipated.” Why would that be the case? The inhabitants of the Underworld, of course! Familiar faces, like Regina’s estranged mother, Cora (Barbara Hershey), will be returning to “hound our heroes at every turn.”
Images from the episode show Regina (Lana Parrilla) coming face-to-face with her mother Cora, who is the mayor of the Underworld, and their reunion does not seem as acrimonious as their relationship when Cora was alive. “We’ve never seen Regina and her mother cordial,” said co-creator Eddy Kitsis to TVLine.
So watch for the comeback as Once Upon A Time returns for its 100th episode on March 6, on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
